Anmerkungen

  • White Chrysanthemum, Bai Ju Hua, nourishes the Liver and clears the eyes more effectively than the other varieties, and is used most often for diminished vision from Kidney and Liver Yin Deficiency.
  • Yellow Chrysanthemum, Huang Ju Hua, is stronger at dispersing Wind-Heat, draining Fire, and resolving toxicity, and is most often used for red eyes and headache caused by Wind-Heat.
  • It can be taken as a beverage in Wind-Heat or Blood Heat.
  • Combined with other herbs, it can be used to treat brain cancer.
  • It is regarded as among the best remedies for Wind-Heat.
  • It is counted among the top twelve remedies for systemic hypertension and coronary disease.
  • Depending on use, it can ascend or descend, drain or tonify.
  • Ju Hua tonifies the Lungs and Kidneys and is more effective than Fol. Mori Sang Ye at calming the Liver and brightening the eyes; its mild toxicity-resolving action also lets it treat toxic swellings, boils, and furuncles. Sang Ye, by contrast, excels at calming Liver Wind and disseminating Lung Qi; it disperses and spreads more strongly than Ju Hua and can moisten the Lungs, stop coughing, cool the Blood, and stop bleeding.
  • Dry-fried Chrysanthemum Flower, Chao Ju Hua, calms the Liver and clears the eyes when the Spleen and Stomach are weak.
  • Charred Chrysanthemum Flower, Ju Hua Tan, enters the Blood to settle Wind and calm the Blood, and is often combined with Rx. Polygoni Multiflori Preparata Zhi He Shou Wu, Ligustri Lucidi Nu Zhen Zi, Fr. Tribuli Ci Ji Li, and Fr. Lycii Gou Qi Zi for dizziness, tinnitus, and eyeball pain arising from Blood Deficiency Generating Wind.
