Composition

  • Dang GuiRx. Angelicae Sinensis15 g

    Tonifies Blood, invigorates and harmonizes Blood, reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh and alleviates pain.

  • Zi CaoRx. Lithospermi10 g

    Clears Heat. cools the Blood, relieves Fire toxins, encourages rashes and clears Damp-Heat from the skin.

  • Sesame OilSesame Oil1 liter
  • Yellow WaxYellow Wax50 g

Manifestations

  • Lesions about the size of a small coin — red, pale red, moist pale red, dark, or hyperpigmented — appearing on the scalp, trunk, limbs and elsewhere, and multiplying quickly
  • Scales cover the lesions, either closely adherent or piled up, and they either flake off readily when scratched or are thick, firm and clinging
  • Once the scale is lifted, a shiny, light pink membrane is exposed
  • Small petechial spots lie beneath this membrane
  • Lesions of long duration may merge together
  • Lesions can be painful or develop fissures
  • Pruritus can be severe

Psoriasis, treated topically

Notes

Place the herbs in a pot with 5000 ml of vegetable oil and let them sit for 2 hours, then bake until they turn yellow; apply to the affected area 1-2 times daily.
