Composición

  • Ma HuangHb. Ephedrae5–9 g

    Strongly promotes diaphoresis, relieves the Exterior, disperses Lung Qi, promotes urination and expels Cold.

    for Wind-Cold Excess with fever, chills and anhidrosis and Wind-Cold-Damp Bi.
    for cough and wheezing due to Wind-Cold Attacks the Lungs.
  • Gui ZhiRam. Cinnamomi4–9 g

    Promotes diaphoresis, warms the channels, disperses Cold, releases the exterior, assists the Yang, adjusts the Ying and Wei, warms and facilitates the flow of Qi through the channels and collaterals and Blood through the vessels and releases the muscle layer.

    for palpitations and shortness of breath due to injured Yang of the chest.
  • Xing RenSm. Armeniacae5–12 g

    Disperses Lung Qi, resolves Phlegm and stops cough and wheezing.

Modificaciones

Precauciones

  • Should not be used in patients with Lin Syndrome.
  • Should not be used for bleeding due to Yin Deficiency.
  • Should not be used in cases of bacterial infection (Heat).
  • Should not be given to patients with skin infections.
  • Should not be used for Wind-Heat patterns.
  • Should not be used when the pulse is weak.
  • Should not be used in cases of general debility.
  • Should not be used when urination is copious.
  • Exercise caution in patients with hypertension.
  • Excessive sweating should be avoided.
  • Limit use to a short duration.

Interacciones

In patients with hepatitis C, this formula may lessen interferon's adverse effects.
