Combinations

Notes

  • Non-toxic and gentle on Stomach Qi, with a mild laxative effect, this herb's qualities make it a valuable anthelmintic.
  • It relieves pain while expelling parasites.
  • It works best eaten by itself after dry-frying.
  • Used alone against tapeworm segments, the regimen is seven seeds daily for seven days.
  • For hookworm, 30 to 40 seeds are taken each morning on an empty stomach until the worms are expelled.
  • Fei Zi Shi and Fr. Quisqualis Shi Jun Zi are both sweet, comparatively nontoxic, and do not harm the Spleen while killing parasites, each containing fatty oils that lubricate the Intestines. Shi Jun Zi is the stronger of the two against roundworms; it also moistens the Lungs, stops cough, tonifies the Spleen, aids Stomach digestion and treats childhood nutritional impairment. Fei Zi is more effective against hookworm and pinworm, and likewise moistens the Lungs and stops cough.
  • Dry-fried Chao Fei Zi strengthens the Spleen, resolves Food Stagnation and treats childhood nutritional impairment along with killing parasites.
