      Glycerin, topically for dermatitis.
    • Chi Shi ZhiHalloysitum Rubrum7 g

      Promotes healing of wounds topically.

    • Hua Shi FenPowdered Talcum7 g

      Absorbs Dampness and clears Heat topically.

      • Duan Shi Gao
      topically as a powder for dermatological disorders.
    • Duan Shi GaoProcessed Gypsum Fibrosum7 g

      Heals eczema, burns and ulcerated sores and wounds topically.

    Manifestations

    • Chiefly located at the elbows, knees and neck
    • The lesions are thickened and lichenified, their margins indistinct
    • The skin is apt to be dry and fissured
    • A little bleeding or weeping fluid may appear after scratching
    • The itch is intense and worse at night
    • Skin is rough and dry, with patchy scaling and localized itch

    Cautions

    Not for internal consumption.

    Notes

    Combine the first four ingredients as a powder. Incorporate sufficient calcium hydroxide to break down the herbs into a paste, then blend in the glycerine. Thin with up to 200 ml of water before applying to the skin.
