  • Zhi Cao WuRx. Aconiti Kusnezoffii Preparata15 g

    Reduces swellings and treats abscesses and lesions.

  • Zhi Chuan WuRx. Aconiti Carmichaeli Preparata15 g

    Reduces swellings, induces ulceration and dispels putrefication.

  • Han Shui ShiCalcitum30 g

    Clears Heat, drains Fire and is used for burns and sores.

Manifestations

  • Pruritus at the elbow creases and behind the knees
  • A past history of allergic conditions is common
  • Often starts in infancy as red, oozing, crusted patches on the cheeks and scalp before spreading to the arms and legs
  • Typically subsides by the third year of life, though it tends to recur repeatedly thereafter
  • Rough textures, dampness, and both environmental and emotional stress can set off the itching
  • Ongoing scratching causes the skin to thicken and toughen
  • Bacterial infection may follow, along with dryness, bleeding and shifts in skin tone

Cautions

Avoid prolonged use, and stop treatment if five days pass without improvement.

Notes

Pulverize the ingredients into a fine powder and blend with petroleum jelly into a paste, applying it one to two times per day.
