Lokalisation

  1. 01On the abdominal midline, 4 cun above the navel, halfway between the umbilicus and the sternocostal angle.
  2. 02On the anterior midline, four cun superior to the umbilicus.

Nadelung

  1. 01Insert perpendicularly, 0.8 to 1.5 cun.
  2. 02Caution: deep needling in thin patients may penetrate the peritoneal cavity.
  3. 03Straight insertion, 1 to 2 cun.
  4. 04Perpendicular insertion, 0.5 to 1.2 cun.
  5. 05Moxibustion may be used.
  6. 06Perpendicular insertion to a depth of 1 to 2 cun, or the needle may be angled obliquely around the point in any direction; this produces a heavy, distended sensation in the upper abdomen, or a feeling of the Stomach contracting.
  7. 07Caution: the Stomach, pancreas, and abdominal aorta lie deep to this point, so avoid needling too deeply, especially in thin patients; in those with an enlarged Liver or Spleen, oblique needling to either side of the point should be avoided.
