Notas

  • The information above pertains to Fr. Malvae Dong Kui Guo, the primary source of Dong Kui Zi. Sm. Abutili Qing Mai Zi, bitter and neutral, enters the Bladder, Large Intestine and Liver channels; it clears Heat and facilitates urination to treat red and white dysenteric disorders and painful urinary dysfunction, and it also resolves toxicity, reduces swelling, and clears superficial visual obstruction to treat swollen abscesses and eye disorders, though it is used less often.
  • Dong Kui Guo and Talcum Hua Shi are both slippery substances that unblock the orifices and treat urinary difficulty with rasping urethral pain. Hua Shi excels at cooling Summerheat and clearing Dampness, and can be applied topically to Damp-Heat sores, whereas Dong Gui Zi aids bowel movement and promotes lactation, in addition to reducing swelling.
  • As a single-herb remedy, it treats generalized dysuria.
