Indicated for Dry Summerheat

Where marked thirst accompanies a red tongue

For painful urination containing blood

Where urination is both painful and blood-tinged

Applicable to blood-streaked, painful urination

For feverishness occurring during summer

Where fever arises in the summer season

For summer dysentery with pus and Blood brought on by cold food or beverages

Where dysentery containing pus and Blood occurs in summer after cold food or drink

For kidney or urinary stones accompanied by difficult, burning urination

For kidney or urinary stones accompanied by colicky pain

For infection-related diarrhea in infants

For whooping cough occurring in individuals who are overweight

Where an Exterior pattern coexists, marked by chills, Wind intolerance, a distending headache and cough

For eczematous skin conditions

For marked or intense Summerheat

Where Qi and body fluids have been damaged

For urination that is painful due to stone-type obstruction
