Damp-Heat occurring in infancy

Symptome

  • Especially common among heavyset infants
  • Chiefly affects the face, head and neck, with possible spread elsewhere
  • The lesions show redness, papules and vesicles, along with heavy oozing
  • With progression, crusting sets in and the itching intensifies, disrupting sleep.
  • Typically dark red, the lesions occur on the face and neck and frequently the hands and feet, lacking sharply defined margins.
  • The child's build tends to be thin and frail.
  • Small lichenified lesions frequently develop thin white scaling, show evidence of itching, and may bleed slightly, though without oozing
  • Pruritus
