Lokalisation
- 01Above and lateral to the sternum, 1 cun below LU-2 Yunmen, level with the first intercostal space and 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
- 02Roughly 1 cun below the clavicle's lateral end, in the lateral part of the first intercostal space.
- 03Below the acromial end of the clavicle, 1 cun inferior to the midpoint of the interclavicular fossa and 6 cun lateral to the REN channel. Note: to find it, have the patient extend the arm forward and push against resistance to bring out the delto-pectoral triangle; locate LU-2 Yunmen at its center first, then find LU-1 Zhongfu in the intercostal space about 1 cun below and slightly lateral to it. The first intercostal space is found by first identifying the second rib's costal cartilage, level with the sternal angle, then locating the space above it.
Nadelung
- 01Needle obliquely toward the lateral chest, 0.5 to 0.8 cun.
- 02Caution: never needle deeply toward the medial side, to avoid injuring the Lung.
- 03Moxibustion may be used.
- 04Oblique insertion angled upward, 0.5 to 1 cun; produces distention and soreness spreading into the chest and upper arm.
- 05Transverse-oblique needling, 0.5 to 1 cun, directed medially along the intercostal space.
- 06Caution: deep perpendicular or oblique insertion carries a significant risk of pneumothorax.
