Lokalisation

  1. 01Proximal to the radial styloid process, 1.5 cun above the wrist crease, between the brachioradialis muscle and the tendon of abductor pollicis longus. Note: cross the thumbs and index fingers of both hands so that one index finger rests on the other wrist's radial styloid process — the point falls in the hollow beneath that fingertip.
  2. 02Just proximal to the radial styloid process, in a small depression 1.5 cun above the wrist crease.
  3. 03On the forearm's radial side, roughly 1.5 cun proximal to LI-5 Yangxi, in the groove between the brachioradialis and abductor pollicis longus tendons.
  4. 04Note: starting the index finger at LI-5 Yangxi in the anatomical snuffbox and sliding it proximally the length of the radial styloid process lands it in the groove between the two tendons.
  5. 05Found in the shallow hollow at the base of the radial styloid process, 1.5 cun proximal to the wrist crease at LU-9 Taiyuan.

Nadelung

  1. 01Needle obliquely upward, 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
  2. 02Moxibustion is applicable.
  3. 03Pinch the skin over the point with one hand, then with the other insert the needle transversely, proximally or distally, 0.5 to 1 cun, staying clear of the cephalic vein.
  4. 04Angle the needle toward the elbow, 0.5 to 1 cun deep. Sensation: local soreness and distention spreading toward the elbow.
  5. 05For stenosans tenosynovitis, direct the needle laterally, 0.5 to 1 cun. Sensation: local distention and soreness.
