Localisation
On the posterior knee, 1 cun above UB-39 Weiyang, medial to the biceps femoris tendon; locate with the knee in slight flexion.
Puncture
- 01Insert perpendicularly to a depth of 1–1.5 cun.
- 02Straight insertion of 1–2 cun.
- 03Needle perpendicularly 0.5–1 cun.
- 04Moxibustion may be used.

- Numbness of the buttock
- Tightening of the sinews behind the knee
