Localisation
At the top of the ear — fold the auricle over and the point sits at the peak of the fold.
Puncture
- 01Insert perpendicularly, 0.1 cun deep.
- 02Puncture perpendicularly, 0.1 to 0.2 cun deep.
- 03Prick to draw a drop of blood.
- 04Moxibustion may also be used (3 to 5 cones).

- Clears Heat
- Reduces swelling
- Benefits the eyes and throat
Indications
- Redness, swelling, and pain in the eyes
- Superficial visual obstruction
- Nebula
- One-sided headache
- Sore, swollen throat
- Mumps
- High fever
Notes
When treating superficial visual obstruction, apply five moxa cones.
