Manifestations
- Boils appear on the face, head, neck and hips
- In the early stage they may present as firm nodules
- Redness and swelling confined to the area
- Pain along with a sensation of Heat
- Later on they may soften and discharge a whitish-yellow exudate
- A suppurating lesion of some size may develop at the top
- Lymph nodes nearby may become enlarged
- Both fever and chills, the fever more pronounced, or
- A tidal pattern of fever
- Distention of the abdomen
- Feeling thirsty
- Perspiration
- A suffocating feeling in the chest
- A restless feeling
- Digestive upset, including heaviness, nausea and severe diarrhea
