Localización

  1. 01At the wrist, on the radial side of flexor carpi ulnaris, in the hollow just proximal to the pisiform bone.
  2. 02Supinating the hand, locate it in the small depression on the ulnar side, at the end of the wrist's transverse crease.
  3. 03It lies on the transverse wrist crease, on the radial side of the flexor carpi ulnaris tendon, within the joint depression between the pisiform bone and the ulna.

Punción

  1. 01Insert perpendicularly, 0.3 to 0.5 cun, or angle proximally, medially, or distally, 0.5 to 0.8 cun. Note: if the patient must be needled prone with the arms extended overhead, this point can instead be located and needled on the ulnar side of the flexor carpi ulnaris close to the tendon's insertion, directing the needle toward the radial side. Caution: the ulnar artery and nerve run adjacent to this point.
  2. 02Insert straight in, 0.3 to 0.5 cun, angled slightly toward the ulnar side; this may produce local soreness and distention, sometimes with a numb, electric feeling radiating toward the fingertips.
  3. 03Moxibustion may also be used.
