- Luo Shi Teng and Caulis Piperis Kadsurae Hai Feng Teng both dispel Wind and move Qi through the collaterals, commonly treating restricted joint movement, cramping, and spasm from Wind-Dampness. Hai Feng Teng, being slightly warm, suits cases without an accompanying Heat component, whereas Luo Shi Teng, being cooling, is preferred when Heat is present. Luo Shi Teng additionally cools the Blood and reduces swelling, used for toxic swollen sores and for swelling and hematoma from trauma.
