Sheng Di HuangRx. Rehmanniae10 g
Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes *Yin and generates Fluids*.
- Bai Shao
for Blood Deficiency Heat.
Dang GuiRx. Angelicae Sinensis10 g
Tonifies, invigorates and harmonizes the Blood.
- Bai Shao
regulates and harmonizes Qi and Blood.
Bai ShaoRx. Paeoniae Alba10 g
Nourishes the Blood, astringes *Yin and calms Liver Yang***.
- Dang Gui
nourishes Yin and Blood.
Di Gu PiCx. Lycii6 g
Cools the Blood and drains Yin Deficiency Fire.
Tian Men DongRx. Asparagi6 g
Nourishes Kidney Yin, clears Lung Heat, sedates Fire, moistens the Lungs, nourishes the Kidneys, generates Fluids and resolves Phlegm.

Deficiency of Liver and Kidney Yin

A large portion of these patients present as debilitated with a background of long-standing illness
The sclera appear mildly reddened
The condition advances gradually
Episodes recur intermittently, occurring several times a year
Weakness and pain affecting the lower back and knees
Heat felt in the five centers (palms, soles, chest)
Fever that rises and falls like a tide
Sweating that occurs during sleep
