Zusammensetzung

Xuan ShenRx. Scrophulariae9 g
Clears Heat, cools the Blood, drains Fire, relieves toxicity and nourishes the *Yin*.
- Mai Men Dong
- Lian Qiao
for sore, swollen throat from toxicity and Heat.
Lian Zi XinPlumula Nelumbinis1.5 g
Drains Heart Fire and relieves irritability.
- Xuan Shen
- Mai Men Dong
for excessive sweating and thirst, irritability, fever, loss of consciousness, and delirium caused by high fever due to Warm febrile disease.
Dan Zhu YeHb. Lophatheri6 g
Clears Heat and eliminates irritability.
- Lian Zi Xin
for tongue ulcers.
Lian QiaoFr. Forsythiae6 g
Clears Heat (especially in the Upper Jiao), clears Blood Heat and relieves toxicity.
- Shui Niu Jiao

for Heat Attacking the Pericardium.
Shui Niu JiaoCornu Bubali15–30 g
Clears Heat from the Ying and Xue stages, relieves Fire toxicity, cools the Blood and stops bleeding.
Mai Men DongRx. Ophiopogonis9 g
Moistens the Lungs, nourishes the Yin, stops cough, nourishes the Stomach Yin, generates fluids, clears the Heart and eliminates irritability.

Wind-Heat that injures the Heart's Yin Fluids, resulting in Heat entering the Pericardium

When Heat is severe

When high fever occurs together with Extreme Heat that generates Wind
When thirst is severe

This formula should not be administered to patients whose tongue coating is white and slippery.
