    Nourishes the Blood, astringes Yin, softens the Liver and relieves pain.

    for abdominal pain due to disharmony between the Liver and Stomach.

  • The rectal mucosa turns outward with exertion
  • The rectal mucosa presents as dark purple or deep red, has a firm feel, and may show erosion or ulceration
  • Prolapse of the rectum accompanied by a sense of distention
  • Tenesmus and/or a burning feeling in the anus; possibly with bleeding
  • Severe pain resembling needle pricks
  • A complexion that is red
  • Fever, or
  • Fever occurring in the afternoon
  • A sensation of thirst
