    dispels Wind-Cold from the Exterior.
  • Rou GuiCx. Cinnamomi45 g

    Disperses deep Cold, warms the channels, unblocks the channels and vessels and alleviates pain.

  • Chuan XiongRz. Chuanxiong45 g

    Invigorates the Blood, promotes the movement of *Qi, expels Wind and alleviates pain*.

  • Bai ShaoRx. Paeoniae Alba45 g

    Nourishes the Blood, astringes Yin, adjusts the Ying and *Wei, calms Liver Yang and Liver Wind and alleviates pain.*

Symptome

  • Joints that are both swollen and painful
  • Stationary pain accompanied by a sense of heaviness
  • Restricted range of motion
  • Intensely sharp, stabbing pain within the joints
  • Pain that eases with warmth and worsens with Cold
  • Only a small number of joints affected
  • The joints are unable to bend or straighten
  • Absence of redness or Heat at the site
  • The affected site frequently feels cold when touched
  • Pain that intensifies at night and eases during the day
  • Pain that is severe yet brief
  • Pain that shifts in character over a span of days or weeks
  • Stiffening and fusion of the joint, i.e. ankylosis
  • A dislike of Cold
  • Possibly chills accompanied by a mild fever
  • Absence of sweating
  • Frequent urination during the night
  • Numb, heavy sensations affecting the limbs
  • Stiffness or numbness affecting the muscles or the skin
