- Pain that is fixed in location, stabbing, and/or intense

- Darkened facial complexion
- Palpable masses that do not move
- Hemorrhage containing clots
- Lips of a purplish hue
- Nail beds appearing purple
- Skin that is dry
- Skin discoloration—blue, dark, or purplish—over areas large or small,
- Both varicose veins and spider veins
- Coldness of the hands and feet
- A tendency toward bleeding of dark blood or clots
