Anmerkungen

  • This herb purges very powerfully.
  • Overdose can produce nausea, vomiting, hematuria, and neurological symptoms.
  • It is milder than others in its category and can be used over a longer duration.
  • Powdered and used on its own, it treats mild edema.
  • Qian Niu Zi and Rx. Phytolaccae Shang Lu both powerfully open and drain outward via the urethra and anus, treating edema accompanied by severe constipation, urinary difficulty, and thin mucus. Qian Niu Zi guides out Stagnation, disperses accumulation, and expels parasites; being less toxic than Shang Lu, it suits both adults and children for abdominal pain from parasitic accumulation, Food Stagnation, and poor appetite. Shang Lu carries greater internal toxicity, though externally it can resolve toxicity and reduce swelling.
  • Morning Glory Kernels Qian Niu Ren carry greater toxicity.
  • Dry-fried Morning Glory Seeds Chao Qian Niu Zi are milder in acridity, drain and diurese less strongly, and are less toxic.
