Localisation

2 cun below UB-40 Weizhong, between the medial and lateral heads of the gastrocnemius, along the line connecting UB-40 Weizhong and UB-57 Chengshan. Note: locate UB-57 Chengshan first, then find UB-55 Heyang one-quarter of the way from UB-40 Weizhong to UB-57 Chengshan.

Puncture

  1. 01Insert perpendicularly, 0.7–1 cun.
  2. 02Moxibustion may be used.
  3. 03Insert perpendicularly, 1–1.5 cun.
  4. 04Insert straight in, 1–2 cun.
