Associations
Notes
- UB-31 Shangliao, UB-32 Ciliao, UB-33 Zhongliao and UB-34 Xiaoliao together make up the point group known as the Eight Crevices (Eight Seams), or Baliao. Collectively they regulate the urinary system (most strongly at UB-32 Ciliao, and to a lesser extent UB-33 Zhongliao), influence the Intestines (broadest effect at UB-34 Xialiao), treat gynecological disorders (strongest effect at UB-34 Xialiao), and move Qi and Blood through the local channels and collaterals into the lower limbs (most strongly at UB-32 Ciliao and UB-33 Zhongliao).
- All four points tonify the Kidneys.
- They are indicated specifically for genital disorders.
- They tonify the body as a whole.
- These points can be used to induce labor.
