Localisation

  1. 01With the gaze fixed straight ahead, this point sits directly beneath the pupil, level with the lower edge of the ala nasi, lateral to the nasolabial groove.
  2. 02Found directly below ST-1 Chengqi, level with the inferior border of the ala nasi.
  3. 03Found directly below the pupil, level with the base of the nostrils.

Puncture

  1. 01Insert perpendicularly, 0.3 to 0.4 cun.
  2. 02Insert transversely to connect with points such as ST-4 Dicang or SI-18 Quanliao.
  3. 03Insert obliquely, 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
  4. 04Moxibustion may also be used.
