Localisation
In the fourth intercostal space, 6 cun from the front midline.
Puncture
- 01Needle obliquely, 0.3–0.5 cun.
- 02Moxa may be used.
- 03Insert at an angle, 0.5–0.8 cun.
- 04Caution: Perpendicular insertion, particularly in thin patients, carries significant risk of pneumothorax.
- 05Insert obliquely along the intercostal space, 0.5–1 cun.
