Localisation

  1. 01On the abdomen, half a cun to the side of REN-12 Zhongwan.
  2. 02On the upper abdomen, 4 cun above the navel and 0.5 cun lateral to the midline, at the level of REN-12 Zhongwan.

Puncture

  1. 01Insert straight in, 1 to 1.5 cun.
  2. 02Insert perpendicularly, 0.5 to 1 cun.
  3. 03Caution: needling too deeply risks puncturing the peritoneal cavity.
  4. 04Moxibustion may be used.
