Localisation

  1. 01On the lower abdomen, 0.5 cun lateral to REN-3 Zhongji.
  2. 02Found 4 cun below the umbilicus, 0.5 cun lateral to REN-3 Zhongji.
  3. 03On the lower abdomen, 4 cun below the umbilicus and 1 cun above the upper border of the pubic symphysis, 0.5 cun lateral to the midline (REN-3 Zhongji).

Puncture

  1. 01Needle straight in, 1 to 1.5 cun.
  2. 02Perpendicular puncture, 0.5 to 1 cun.
  3. 03Caution: if inserted too deeply this can pierce a full bladder, so empty the bladder before treatment.
  4. 04Moxibustion may be used.
