Actions & indications
- Invigorates the Blood, cleanses the Blood, regulates menstruation, resolves swelling, removes toxicity and promotes urination
- Qi and Blood Stagnation with dysentery, sores and boils, snake and insect bites, traumatic injury, amenorrhea, pharyngitis, rheumatic arthritis and pain
Contre-indications
Contraindicated during pregnancy.
Notes
- It can be soaked in wine or prepared as pills and powder.
- Cortex Kadsurae Radicis (Chinese Redbud) is the botanically correct source, though Cortex Cercis Chinensis is the one commonly used in practice.
