Manifestations
- Piercing, knife-like pain in the epigastrium that stays in one spot
- Pain and bloating in the epigastrium or abdomen
- Discomfort that begins on and off yet grows steadily more continuous
- Eating aggravates the pain severely
- Pain can spread through to the back
- The epigastrium is averse to both pressure and warmth
- Pain is more prominent than distention, or
- Pain occurs without any distention
- Difficulty swallowing
- Audible rumbling over the epigastrium
- Lumps or masses possibly present in the abdomen or epigastrium
- A queasy, nauseated feeling
- Vomit containing purplish-black blood, or material resembling coffee grounds
- A vague, gnawing sensation of hunger
- Loss of appetite
- Reduction in body weight
- Diminished physical strength
- Stools that are dry and contain tarry, melena-like blood
- Blood in the stool that is dark purple, or a combination of dark and fresh Blood
- Difficulty passing stool
- Skin that is dry and coarse in texture
- Complexion, lips, and conjunctiva that appear dark, purplish, or blotchy
- Darkened circles encircling the eyes
- Spider angiomas found across the cheeks, epigastric region, trunk, and the inner ankle/knee area
- Possible presence of hemorrhoids
- Possible irregular menstrual cycles accompanied by dark purple clotted Blood
