  • This presentation broadly aligns with the hebephrenic, or disorganized, subtype of schizophrenia. At least 3 of the 5 symptoms below must be present, or two of them if strongly pronounced, and the psychotic symptoms must persist continuously for no less than one month. 1. Thinking that is disorganized 2. Pronounced, vivid hallucinations 3. An unstable emotional state 4. Behavior that is childish or inappropriate 5. Behavior that is excitable and compulsive
