Composition
Invigorates the Blood,dispels Blood Stasis, clears Heat, soothes irritability, nourishes the Blood and calms the Spirit.

Manifestations
- A pounding, irregular heartbeat
- A piercing pain in the region anterior to the heart
- A choking sensation felt in the chest
- Possibly a pulling pain radiating down the inner side of the arm (particularly the left)
- Pain (chest and/or arm) is typically intense and comes and goes
- In more serious presentations: cold extremities and blue-tinged lips and nails
- Corps de la langue
- Either a Dark red tongue marked with purple spots, or a tongue that is Purple throughout
- Enduit
- A scant coating
- Pouls
- Either Faint (barely detectable) combined with Fine, or a Knotted quality
Indications
- Ischemic heart disease of coronary origin
- Disease affecting the coronary arteries
- Anginal chest pain
- An irregular, pounding heartbeat
