Manifestations

  • This pattern arises either from a constitutional weakness or from previous surgery
  • Painful lower abdomen and pelvis before, during and after the period
  • Tenderness together with nodulation at the posterior fornix or at the uterine isthmus
  • Menstruation that is profuse and/or irregular
  • Spotting that appears between periods, or ahead of them
  • An inability to become pregnant
  • Trouble achieving conception
