  • Bai Lian and Hb. Taraxaci Pu Gong Ying are often paired, as both clear Heat, resolve toxicity, disperse clumps and reduce abscesses and sores. Bai Lian has the stronger action for dispersing clumps and generating new flesh, making it especially useful when a sore has come to a head but will not open, or when an ulceration will not heal. Pu Gong Ying is used for any Yang-type sore — red, swollen, hot and painful — particularly those affecting the breasts.
