Manifestaciones

  • Occurring especially in overweight infants
  • Commonly affects the face, head and neck, and may extend elsewhere
  • Lesions present as erythema, papules and vesicles, with heavy exudation
  • With progression of the condition, crusting develops and the itching intensifies, disrupting sleep.
  • The physique becomes thinner and more debilitated
  • Lesions, typically dark red in color, appear on the face and neck and frequently the hands and feet, lacking distinct borders
  • Small lesions frequently develop a lichenified surface with thin white scaling; some itching is evident and minor bleeding can occur, though without discharge
  • Pruritic sensation
  • Sleeplessness
  • Such infants appear pale and eat poorly
  • Other symptoms include constipation and scanty yellow urine; tongue (T): Pale red, or Red, or with a Red tip; coating (C): Thin white, or yellow; pulse (P): Rapid, or Slippery and rapid
