Pattern of Wind combined with Cold

Symptome

  • This pattern is seen during a first outbreak of plaque-type or guttate psoriasis
  • It commonly appears in children or in those with psoriatic arthritis
  • Lesions show up as small dots or as coin-shaped patches, or
  • Merge together into red patches topped with scales that peel off easily
  • Thick, white scales that shed readily when scratched
  • The lesions present in a pale red hue
  • Very little itching
  • Sensitivity to cold
  • This pattern can appear in any season, though it tends to be more severe in winter and generally eases or resolves in summer
