Zusammensetzung

  • Ma HuangHb. Ephedrae5–9 g

    Strongly promotes diaphoresis, relieves the Exterior, disperses Lung Qi, promotes urination and expels Cold.

    for Wind-Cold Excess with fever, chills and anhidrosis and Wind-Cold-Damp Bi.
    for cough and wheezing due to Wind-Cold Attacks the Lungs.
  • Bai ZhuRz. Atractylodis Macrocephalae5–12 g

    Tonifies the Spleen, augments *Qi, dries Dampness, promotes water metabolism, stabilizes the exterior and stops sweating.*

  • Gui ZhiRam. Cinnamomi4–9 g

    Promotes diaphoresis, warms the channels, disperses Cold, releases the exterior, assists the Yang, adjusts the Ying and Wei, warms and facilitates the flow of Qi through the channels and collaterals and Blood through the vessels and releases the muscle layer.

    for palpitations and shortness of breath due to injured Yang of the chest.
  • Xing RenSm. Armeniacae5–12 g

    Disperses Lung Qi, resolves Phlegm and stops cough and wheezing.

  • Zhi Gan CaoRx. Glycyrrhizae Preparata1–6 g

    Tonifies Qi, resolves Phlegm, stops cough and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.

    for Wind-Cold Attacks the Lungs with coughing and/ or wheezing.

Modifikationen

Vorsichtshinweise

  • Contraindicated in patients with Lin Syndrome.
  • Contraindicated when Yin Deficiency bleeding is present.
  • Contraindicated in cases of bacterial infection (Heat).
  • Contraindicated when skin infections are present.
  • Contraindicated in cases of Wind-Heat.
  • Contraindicated when the pulse is weak.
  • Contraindicated in patients who are debilitated.
  • Contraindicated when urination is copious.
  • Exercise caution in patients with hypertension.
  • Guard against inducing profuse perspiration.
  • Limit use to short periods of time.

Wechselwirkungen

In hepatitis C patients, this formula may lessen interferon's adverse effects.
