- Yang-type jaundice, with the sclera and skin a bright yellow
- Bilateral rib pain accompanied by fullness
- Possibly pain beneath the right ribs
- A bitter taste in the mouth
- Queasiness
- Bringing up fluids that are sour and bitter
- Loss of appetite
- Possibly chills alternating with fever
- Urine that is dark and concentrated
- Fullness and distention of the abdomen
- Agitation
