Lokalisation

  1. 011.5 cun to the side of the DU channel, level with the first posterior sacral foramen. Note: the Bladder channel's inner line moves nearer the midline as it descends toward the sacrum, so in this region the 1.5 cun distance is somewhat reduced.
  2. 021.5 cun lateral to the back's posterior midline, at the same level as the first posterior sacral foramen, UB-31 Shangliao.

Nadelung

  1. 01Needle perpendicularly to a depth of 0.8 to 1.2 cun.
  2. 02Moxibustion may be used.
  3. 03Insert straight to a depth of 1 to 1.5 cun, producing local distention and soreness.
  4. 04For sacroiliac arthritis or peritonitis, angle the needle 2 to 3 cun deep, giving distention and soreness spreading through the sacroiliac joint.
  5. 05Insert perpendicularly, 0.5 to 1 cun deep.
