Lokalisation

1.5 cun lateral to the DU channel, level with the lower edge of the second thoracic vertebra's spinous process; find it at the highest visible point of the paraspinal muscles.

Nadelung

  1. 01Insert obliquely, 0.5–0.7 cun.
  2. 02Moxibustion may be used.
  3. 03Angle the needle toward the spine, 0.5–1 cun.
  4. 04Insert transversely-obliquely, 1–1.5 cun.
  5. 05Caution: inserting straight in, or obliquely away from the spine, risks pneumothorax.
  6. 06Insert straight in with a slight tilt toward the spine, 1–1.5 cun; this produces local distention and soreness that may spread between the ribs.

  8. 08Caution: avoid excessive depth, to prevent puncturing the Lung.
