Lokalisation
- 01On the ridge supporting the pubic tubercle, 2 cun lateral to REN-2 Qugu.
- 02In the upper groin, at the pubic tubercle's superior-lateral aspect, 2 cun lateral to the abdomen's midline and medial to the common iliac artery.
- 032 cun lateral to REN-2 Qugu, 5 cun below the umbilicus.
- 04On the lower abdomen, level with the pubic symphysis's upper border and in line with REN-2 Qugu, 2 cun from the midline — midway between the midline and the rectus abdominis's palpable edge.
Nadelung
- 01Insert straight, 0.5–1 cun; produces a heavy, distended local sensation.
- 02Angle the needle toward the genitals, 1–2 cun, giving local distention and soreness that can spread to the genital area. Caution: the spermatic cord in men and the round ligament in women lie beneath the surface here, so deep insertion carries risk.
- 03Needle perpendicularly, 0.5–1 cun.
- 04Moxibustion may be used.
- 05Insert perpendicularly, 1–1.5 cun. Caution: in thin patients, angling deeply upward risks entering the peritoneal cavity or a distended bladder; angling deeply downward in a male risks the spermatic cord.
