Lokalisation

  1. 017 cun above the navel on the midline, and 0.5 cun below the xiphoid process.
  2. 02On the midline of the front of the body, 1 cun below the xiphosternal synchondrosis. Note: find this point with the patient supine and the arms raised overhead.
  3. 03On the anterior midline, 7 cun above the umbilicus.
  4. 04On the midline, 7 cun above the umbilicus and 1 cun below the sternocostal angle. Note: numerous sources place this point just below the xiphoid tip, but because the xiphoid process's length varies widely, the point can sometimes fall directly on the xiphoid process itself.

Nadelung

  1. 01Insert at a slant, angled slightly downward, to 1 cun.
  2. 02Puncture obliquely downward, 0.4 to 0.6 cun.
  3. 03Moxibustion may be used.
  4. 04Insert obliquely, angled downward, 0.5 to 1 cun.
  5. 05Caution: deep insertion — particularly in thin patients — risks damaging the left lobe of the Liver or an enlarged Heart; oblique insertion angled upward is contraindicated.
