Tianding

1. 01Midway between LI-18 Futu and ST-12 Quepen, on the posterior edge of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.
2. 02On the side of the neck, at the posterior border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle, halfway between LI-18 Futu and ST-12 Quepen.
3. 03On the side of the neck, 1 cun below LI-18 Futu, along the posterior border of the sternocleidomastoid.

1. 01Insert straight, 0.5 to 1 cun.
2. 02Needle perpendicularly, 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
3. 03Moxibustion may be used.
4. 04Oblique insertion, 0.5 to 0.8 cun.
5. 05Caution: needling more deeply risks puncturing the carotid artery or jugular vein.
