Lokalisation
- 01On the upper arm's lateral side, 7 cun above LI-11 Quchi at the deltoid muscle's insertion, along the LI-11 Quchi–LI-15 Jianyu line.
- 02Found at the deltoid muscle's lower border on the humerus's radial side, about 3 cun below LI-15 Jianyu.
- 03With the arm relaxed at the side and the elbow bent, the point lies just anterior to where the deltoid muscle inserts.
- 04On the lateral upper arm, in the visible, tender hollow between the deltoid's distal insertion and the brachialis muscle, roughly three-fifths of the way along the LI-11 Quchi-to-LI-15 Jianyu line. Note: it is easier to locate when the upper-arm muscles are flexed.

- 01Needle perpendicularly or obliquely upward, 0.8 to 1.5 cun.
- 02Moxibustion may be used.
- 03Insert straight, 0.5 to 1 cun, producing local distention and soreness.
- 04Needle through the arm in front of or behind the humerus, 1 to 1.5 cun, producing local distention and soreness.
- 05For eye disorders, insert obliquely upward into the deltoid muscle, 1 to 2 cun, producing local distention and soreness.
- 06Insert obliquely, 1 to 1.5 cun.
